Voodoo Dreams is a play written by Jewell Parker Rhodes, based on her best-selling novel "Voodoo Dreams". In February 2001, the Institute for Studies in the Arts presented a staged reading of the new play at Drama City in Tempe, Arizona under the supervision of Dr. J.B.Smith and direction of Joseph Megel.

The reading, which included local talents as well as guest artists from New York, New Jersey, and Las Vegas, was a great success. All performances, from February 22 - February 24 were sold out.
