Moving Boundary Problem is a collaborative, improvisational performance initiative with musician Thomas Ciufo. Our music has developed around a gestural language that explores the sonic and expressive capabilities of our hybrid acoustic / electronic instruments.

Director, AMP Ensemble (2004 - 2007). The group explored new means exploration via the of extending traditional instruments with analog synths, embedded sensors, video tracking, laptops and custom software. It was comprised of a diverse group of faculty and students with backgrounds in performance, composition, media, dance and computer science. Resident artists included Pauline Oliveros, Curtis Bahn, Tomie Hahn, and Nick Didkovsky.

The Digital Rainstick is a composed instrument that explores and extends
the sonic and performative capabilities of this traditional instrument through the use of embedded sensors and digital sounds.
