David is a media artist, researcher, and educator. He has created work that spans from interactive music performance to generative software to robotic installations. His research draws from the domains of media composition, mediated learning, complexity research, and social-network modeling to directly explore and articulate the structure of systems impacting our lives today. With a background in interactive media, he is applying this work in the domain K-12 learning and education research. He holds a BM in Percussion Performance and Composition from the University of Cincinnati CCM. He received MA and DMA in Composition from Columbia University. David has taught at Columbia University and Adelphi University, and he is an Assistant Professor in the Arts, Media and Engineering Program at Arizona State University.
